Gaganbawda is a hill station at the top of Gaganbawda Ghat, ~50 km from Kolhapur. It is the gateway to the Konkan region and offers stunning views of the Sahyadri mountains. MSRTC runs a few buses daily.

• Gaganbawda Ghat viewpoint: Panoramic views of Konkan coastline — best at sunrise
• Mahadeo temple: Ancient temple at the top of the ghat
• Konkan access: Descending the ghat leads to Kankavali, Malvan, Kudal (Sindhudurg district)
• Monsoon warning: Roads are extremely dangerous June–September. MSRTC sometimes suspends service. Confirm before travelling.
